Sesame Asparagus

Sesame oil is generally from toasted sesame seed and should have a roasted flavor to it. Untoasted sesame oil is generally tasteless and although edible is not intended as a flavoring agent.


1/2 dozen Asparagus Spears
4 tablespoons Sesame Oil
1 clove Garlic - finely chopped
1 tablespoon Parsley - finely chopped
1 tablespoon Chives - finely chopped
1 tablespoon Lemon Juice

Sesame seeds

Parmesan Cheese (optional)


 

Drop washed, trimmed Asparagus into boiling water for 5-6 minutes.  Drain and keep warm.

Warm the sesame in small saucepan and sauté Garlic in it.
Stir in remaining ingredients.

Arrange Asparagus on plates and pour the sauce over it.  Serve Parmesan separately.
