Some call this a Jam - it's not truly Jam or even Jelly as it has not been processed with any heat treatments or other processes associated with food preservation. What it is, is a tasty and a tad tart titilating spread that can be stored for up to 2 weeks if refrigerated. It's also extremely healthy as the goji, craisins, honey, turmeric and lemon juice all have known and well documented health benefits.

Goji Berries are a Super-Food which strengthens the immune system, has anti-aging properties, improves eyesight, nourishes body organs - liver and kidneys, helps to normalize blood sugar levels and control blood pressure, lowers cholesterol, and is used for weight loss.




Goji Berries are delicious and healthy just the way they are, fresh and tasty. Eat a handful Daily. They can also be eaten in many forms.



Ingredients

1 cup of goji berries

1/2 cup of craisins

1 tbsp honey

1 tsp powdered turmeric

Lemon juice

Directions

Soak the Goji Berries and Craisins in Lemon Juice for about an hour. Drain off excess lemon juice, leaving roughly 2 or 3 tablespoons worth in with the berries. Simply judge by visual examination , you don't have to actually measure out the lemon juice if you don't want to.

I like to save the excess Lemon juice as it is still useful.



Add the rest of the ingredients and puree them all together in a food processor or blender.

Seal in airtight jars, it will keep in the refrigerator for about 2 - 3 weeks.
