It takes 55-60 days to mature . Unlike many carrot cultivars it grows in rocky and clay soils where others fail. A uniform and consistent watering during it active growth period is essential to growing a round and aesthetically appealing crop.
Lack of water or even drought will result in an elongated carrot root with a mediocre to unpalatable woody taste.
These carrots thrive in containers, unlike most other varieties and will also fare well in a hydroponic scenario. It doesn't transplant well - direct seeding is advisable.
Direct Seeding is best, not transplants. Begin Planting seeds in early spring, 2 to 3 weeks before last frost.
