Various internet imagery depicts phantasmagorical grapes growing in seemingly unnatural eye catching spectrum’s. In fact some of the images are real, but a tad misleading. Grapes commonly morph into various hues while ripening, a process referred to by vintners as Veraison meaning ‘the initiation of ripening’.
There is no GMO or hybrid grape cultivar that ripens into all the shades of the rainbow. There are grapes that produce varying shades of natural colors from greens to pinks, reds and purples as they are ripening [Veraison], but when allowed to fully mature they are a uniform color natural to the particular variety.
